A message from Robbie

I figured that since Briana will be writing all of you, I will give you updates from Afghanistan as well.  I am staying safe in this giant sandbox, and actually find it almost enjoyable when I get to go work with my Afghan counter parts.  It is cool to see them take the advice I have for them, and improve the system that they have in place.  It is rare that that happens, but it is awesome when it does.  Other than that... it is HOT here, lots of sand, and no water.  Man I miss the beach!!! Now take how much I miss the beach multiply that by about 100,000 and you have how much I miss my little fur baby known as Reef.  Multiply that by almost infinity, and you have how much I miss my beautiful wife!  For those that follow this, and don't know what a deployment is like...It sucks!  haha.  Well, I know there are some people out here that enjoy their time, but most of them are single and rolling in the money they are making!  Anyways, the extra money is nice, and our is going to our honeymoon:)  Just in case you didn't understand how much I miss my wife before, finding the patience to wait for that week knowing that I get to spend 7 nights on a tropical island with the girl of my dreams just might kill me.  And I thought Briana didn't have any patience.  Anyways, enjoy your day, and say a prayer for the families that have someone over seas.  I know those of us who are deployed get thought about all of the time, but we wouldn't survive here without the support from our loved ones at home.

Hello! Hope everyone is doing well. Of course, I have been slacking once again...
Here is a little up-to-date info:

RObbie is in Afgahnastan. He left April 16, 2012 and he will return sometime early November. Reef and I are in MN enjoying the company of family and friends. It is a big help in making the time go by. We will head back to San Diego in a week. I am very excited to go back home and get in the swing of our daily routine again!

I will upload pictures soon. For now I made this, showing how Reef has been spending his summer in MN.

Robbie is gone for training at Twentynine Palms for 24 days :( 

That leaves mean an the Reef Bean all alone. He is very good at keeping me company, protecting me, and cuddling me at night. I would be very sad without him here with me! The time should go fast. He has been gone for 8 days already. On March 10th his sister Allison will be out here, so that will help me through the last few days, and he arrives back home March 16. Can't wait!

Shauna and Andrew came out to visit!! It was a blast. We went to the vineyards in Temecula. They were amazing, I will be going back there again someday soon!

Long time no see

Well I have no excuse for not posting for the past few months. I just don't have the writing motivation. So here I lay in bed, rain falling hard, a puppy sleeping on my chest, and Robbie fast asleep. Oh, and I'm reading the hunger games-great book so far! Amazingly comfortable way to end my night. Promise I will be back soon! Goodnight
