Happy Friday.  Yesterday and Today's weather has been perfect...well not if you were on vacation, but perfect fall weather.  It was chilly and rainy! The only bad thing was that my yard turned into a pool.  The draining system in CA doesnt seem to be a priority.  Anyways, I jumped into fall mode and Made Pumpkin Oatmeal cookies (Reef told me he approved of them after eating 15 of them, oppps!).  I also cuddled up on the couch with a blanket, some chia tea, and my new toasted marshmallow candle!  It was perfect, until I had to go to work. This morning was sunny and warm and I got a quick puppy play date in with a girl I work with and her dog Otter! Such a sweetie.  Reef also got to jump on a trampoline for the first time.. I think he liked it? Hahah. Now the weather is turning gray and chilly again. For some odd reason I love rainy cold days. Well off to work, and ready to start my weekend!

Found this "Current" list floating around the internet. Kinda fun to do!

Current books: I am reading "Walk Two Moon's" to my AM program kids.  They love it!
Current music: Always a sucker for Bob Marley or Jack Johnson. So that is usually what is playing.
Current guilty pleasure: Sam Adams Oktoberfest. I wouldnt feel so guilty if I didnt have to drink it alone!
Current color: Light blue, and tan... trying to re-decorate my bedroom and I look for these colors everywhere.
Current drink: Water, of course.
Current food: I am really into fall foods right now, specifically- chili... mmmm
Current favorite show: I have been OBSESSED with Big Bang Theory, and the Voice.
Current wish list: Wishing I could be with my Hubby, and baby Brielle.  I also always wish for shoes and for my pup to be a good boy :)
Current needs: Needing motivation to work out harder, and for my foot not to hur

And another.....Weekend Round Up

Another weekend has passed, and another Monday is here. Reef and I had a very lovely weekend! It was relaxing and we spent time with good friends.  Reef had obidence class on Saturday that he did very well at. He makes me a proud mama when we leave there.  I also made it to the beach on Saturday. I havent had a day at the beach in a LONG time. It was nice to just sit out and relax.  It was very hot! 105 degrees with no AC is very miserable.  Sunday was a day of football watching, and beer drinking.  Reef's friend Sydney from obidence school turned one and her mama Jen had a birthday BBQ for her! (or an excuse to have all of us get together!) The puppies had a great time playing together, and I enjoyed the food and company. Hope you all have a speedy week, I cant wait to be in Minnesota this weekend and enjoy some nice fall weather!

Weekend round up.

Hope you all had a great weekend. Mine went by way too fast as usual.  Friday night after work, I came home, ate, and was sleeping on the couch at 9pm. I woke up to Reef digging at me so I would play with him.  Saturday I was up early and exercised and ran errands. I went to Michaels and went a little craft crazy.  There are a few things on pintrest that I have been wanting to make. Oh, I am also teaching myself to crochet. Not very easy.  And a little frustrating. Saturday night I went out with some friends in downtown Carlsbad to a new bar. It was a lot of fun! Sunday was a day of nothing! Well, I did exercise and go to the grocery store, but besides that a whole lot of sitting on the couch and watching football. (my fantasy team won week 1!!!)

so, last night i made a post talking about crock pot hawaiian chicken... dont make it. or atleast dont use market pantry hawaiian bbq sauce. did not taste good, and spicy!

Labor Day Weekend

The "end" of summer has arrived.  I did a lot of different things this weekend.

Friday Reef and I went over to Eric and Heather's house to do a fantasy football draft, yes, you heard that right. I am doing a fantasy football league this year, and I am very excited for it! I picked up some chinese food from my so-far-favorite chinese place, Quick Wok.  The draft went well and we all sat around and ate our chinese food and drank beers long after the draft was over. A very nice start to a long weekend.

Saturday I started Reef up in his obedience classes once again. So at 10:30 we went to class. It was fun to see the new dogs and after we worked them hard they all got to play with each other.  The trainer was so impressed with Reef's behavior she let me take off his gentle leader and just use a slip leash to train him.  Im not saying he is perfect, but he is doing great! After class we went home and played/ layed out in the sun for a bit. I went to a Hawaiian BBQ later that night. It was super fun and lots of yummy new foods to try. I also met a lot of new people :) I made homemade reeces peaunt butter bars. They are super easy to make and really good! An added bonus is that they dont need to be baked which I loved. I couldnt imagine turning on the oven in this heat we are having.. Sunday I was lazy most of the day. Besides shopping, of course. I ran a few errands and then went to the Carlsbad Outlet Mall. Funny enough I heard from the janitor at the school I work at that they were having a big memorial day sale.  Sure enough, they were. I didnt spend too much money and I had fun! I got a new Coach purse- on sale for $68 plus 30% off, a steal if you ask me.  Since the purse I got is smaller then the one I have now I bought a new wallet also. Purse is black, wallet is hot pink! Looks cute.  I got baby Brielle a million things. I cant stop shopping for this little girl. I spoil her and I havent even met her yet!

 

 







 

The rest of Saturday I did a whole lot of nothing. Just relaxed and watched movies..

Monday Which is today... I got up early and cleaned. I mean a good cleaning for once. Not just a pick up. I shook the rugs, cleaned the toliets, swiffered the floor, dusted, vaccumed, everything. I was feeling so motivated I even cleaned my TOMS and BOBS (shoes). I had to watch a tutorial video on how to clean them so you dont ruin them. They came out looking brand new. I just need them to dry. I have also been working on my calenders for work. I am trying to get calenders made through December so I dont have to worry about them when Robbie gets home. I know that will be the last thing that I will want to worry about.  Oh and speaking of Robbie we only have about 2 months left until he comes home! It may sound like a long time to you- but when 5 months have already passed 2 seems like nothing. And it should last me the week :) I plan to take Reef for a sunset walk as our closing to the weekend.
