Friday Favorites

Here are a few of my favorite things about this week:

Okay, he didnt send me this pic this week-but its goofy and I love it.  Happy birthday to Robbie!!! My FAVORITE man

Taking Reef for walks, my new FAVORITE  location- Oceanside Harbor.

School started Thursday. Robbie reminded me that it was my 19th first day of school.  I am just happy not to be the student :)  Also, the new Kinders and First graders are amazingly cute.  I wish I could take pics of them to show off how cute they are! My not so FAVORITE  thing about school starting is that I wake up at 545am so I can be to work by 645am. EW.

Lastly, I had dinner with Heather EVERY day this week.  She showed/made me her new FAVORITE drink. I think it was called a pink bikini. 1 cup malibu rum, 1 cup ameretto, 1 bottle simply raspberry lemonade.  Yummy!

Sunset Walks

Now that Reef is becoming a little more mature I have been taking him on walks in public.  We have been going on sunset walks for the past 3 nights in a row.  They have been a very good ending to our days! Here are a few things we see...

Its hard to believe that I live here. Feels like vacation everyday.

Back home

Hello All,

I am finally back home in California.  My dad was nice enough to bare the drive out here with me-thank god. I could never do it alone.  So after 2 long days of driving we arrived.  We went to all the favorite out to eat cheap places, Mexico Viejo, Brooklyn Bros Pizza, and had an awesome night of grilling yummy filets.  It feels really good to be back home, and it is nice to have some alone time once again. I just need the motivation to start unpacking all of my bags, ugh! I have been able to catch up with a few friends already, but there is much more to come. I also started working a little. I have worked a whopping 8.5 hours so far this week, but I have another meeting to attend later this week.  Feels good to be on a schedule again. School starts up on August 23rd. I cant wait to see the kids and start making some extra money.  Reef is comfortable back home. He is sleeping in all of his normal spots and seems to be less hyper than he was back in MN.  We will see if that keeps up- hopefully!

I bought a tomatoe plant, snap dragons, and succulants! I am very excited for them, I am just hoping I can keep them alive!

I will leave you all with this amazingly cute picture of Reef.

Pintrest.

So, while Robbie is away we are having fun pinning stuff on pintrest for each other to look at.

http://pinterest.com/brianagawboy/ You can check out some of the fun things we have pinned on the boards "Robbies Return" and "For the man"

All of the other boards are fun to look at too!

I only have one day left in MN. And this quote pretty much sums up the way I feel about packing.  Wish me luck!

A message from Robbie

I figured that since Briana will be writing all of you, I will give you updates from Afghanistan as well.  I am staying safe in this giant sandbox, and actually find it almost enjoyable when I get to go work with my Afghan counter parts.  It is cool to see them take the advice I have for them, and improve the system that they have in place.  It is rare that that happens, but it is awesome when it does.  Other than that... it is HOT here, lots of sand, and no water.  Man I miss the beach!!! Now take how much I miss the beach multiply that by about 100,000 and you have how much I miss my little fur baby known as Reef.  Multiply that by almost infinity, and you have how much I miss my beautiful wife!  For those that follow this, and don't know what a deployment is like...It sucks!  haha.  Well, I know there are some people out here that enjoy their time, but most of them are single and rolling in the money they are making!  Anyways, the extra money is nice, and our is going to our honeymoon:)  Just in case you didn't understand how much I miss my wife before, finding the patience to wait for that week knowing that I get to spend 7 nights on a tropical island with the girl of my dreams just might kill me.  And I thought Briana didn't have any patience.  Anyways, enjoy your day, and say a prayer for the families that have someone over seas.  I know those of us who are deployed get thought about all of the time, but we wouldn't survive here without the support from our loved ones at home.
